PROJECTS

ŠK MLADOSŤ is a sport club active in several international programmes through which it spreads recent EU sport policies, notably intergenerational dimension of sport, role of health enhancing physical activities and sports valus. 

Many of the ongoing projects are easily accessible to a vulnerable group of people with limited knowledge of online environment or limited access to internet. With an impact beyond the EU, it also contributes in promoting sport diplomacy issues that often goes hand in hand with spreading EU values.

RECENT COOPERATION

As an example of recent international cooperation, the Biathle Worldwide Tour of the International Modern Pentathlon Union might be mentioned. The event comprises running and swimming competitions that are accessible for both registered and non-registered participants. It focuses on all age categories, from the youngest athletes of the age of four to elderly people up to category 70+. The Tour takes place all over the world and is a flagship of the grassroot sport development in modern pentathlon. ŠK Mladosť is very active in this field and participates in numerous UIPM event. Moreover, it also organises those events on a nation-wide level.

Another good practice example of ŠK Mladosť is the Erasmus+ project Run - Swim - Learn! In the spirit of Pierre de Coubertin, which was co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. The interactive platform prepared together with Slovenian and Finnish partner organisations www.run-swim-learn.eu serves as the project result towards international community willing to compare skills in physical and educational activities.

SCHOOL PENTATHLON 

FOR SPORT, TOLERANCE AND FAIR PLAY

Project addressed over 2700 schools and directly involved more than 300 schools. It was focused on education through sport and organized under the auspices of the European Fair Play Movement, the International Modern Pentathlon Union and the Slovak Ministry of Education. Participants understood that sports involvement is linked to a number of important benefits like enhanced confidence, academic involvement and success, teamwork, and social skills. The flagship project of ŠK Mladosť comprised both national and international levels.
