Beautiful Malta welcomes ŠK Mladosť

Beautiful Malta hosted from 17 till 19 March 2023 the first transnational project meeting within the Erasmus+ project called INCLUSION FIRST. The meeting was based on the invitation of ŠK Mladosť as the project coordinator and the University of Malta as the project partner institution. It was the first opportunity for Maltese and Slovak project team members to meet in person during the work on this project.

Beautiful Malta hosted the first transnational project meeting

The official kick-off meeting took place on the premises of the University of Malta Campus in Valletta. Formal opening of a meeting and introduction by a hosting project partner included a welcome speech by Andrew Decelis on behalf of the University of Malta as the project partner institution and a short presentation of the Campus premises and its history. It was followed by introduction of the Maltese delegation representatives and their working background as well as presentation of professional engagements and greatest achievements of the Maltese sports.

The participants discussed notably preparation of project outcomes, such as a handbook with an appealing name RUN AND SMILE. It is a collection of inspirational stories that will focus on intergenerational dimension of sport, role of health enhancing physical activities and sport values. The name strives to inspire readers to practice any kind of physical activity while enjoying its positive aspects and well-being.

Project activities continued at the University of Malta Msida Campus, also known as Tal-Qroqq with good practice from Malta on educational and academic aspects of health enhancing physical activities and social inclusion through sport values, introduction of the University of Malta Msida Campus premises, its history and informal discussions on project outcomes.

The very interesting and fruitful programme of the transnational project meeting was held in a friendly spirit of the #BeInclusive and #BeActive activities. It was formally concluded by good practice on active lifestyle, history, and culture by discovering Maltese history in Rabat and Mdina.
